On January 17, 2026, the 8th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Observance will take place in Fountain Park.
This event, themed "The Courage to Begin Anew: Affirming Dignity and Action in the Face of Adversity," brings together faith-based, civic, and neighborhood organizations to honor Dr. King's life and address ongoing challenges in North St. Louis neighborhoods.
The day begins with a Unity Gathering at 9:30 a.m. at the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. statue in Fountain Park, followed by an MLK Youth Educational Program at People's Health Center.
On January 19, 2026, the Missouri History Museum will host a community celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
